Influencer marketing has been a rising force in the digital marketing landscape for Africa, with an increasing number of brands seeking out local content creators to promote their products and services. However, a gap exists between creators and brands, particularly in terms of access to job opportunities and collaboration. This is where ZAUMU comes in – an influencer management platform designed to bridge the gap between these two key stakeholders.
- Job opportunities
- Sourcing projects
- Access to brands
These are some of the key features of ZAUMU, a platform that aims to revolutionize the way creators and brands interact. Zaumu’s co-founder, Cedric Nzomo, explains the current state of affairs in the influencer marketing industry. “The current system is broken. Brands are often not able to vet creators who suit or align with their values, while creators are forced to take on any job to ensure they survive. This leads to payment delays, low pay, and exploitation. It’s estimated that 90% of digital projects earmarked for content creators and influencers never see the light of day, despite increasing budget allocations for digital marketing by brands.”
Zaumu aims to change this. By providing a platform for creators and brands to collaborate directly, Zaumu is addressing the trust deficit that has been a major obstacle to successful influencer marketing campaigns.
